Born and raised in Litchfield County, in the tiny town of Warren, Connecticut. Much of my childhood was spent imagining and creating. During my middle and high school years, I began seriously pursuing my interest and developing my skills in art.
In college, I studied Fine Arts and Education.
Currently residing in Western Massachusetts, I teach Visual Arts to Preschoolers, Kindergarteners, and Elementary School students. When I'm not teaching, my time is spent developing new creative ideas, spending time with my family, and enjoying the peace of nature.
Working primarily with acrylic paint, pen, pencil, pages from dictionaries, sheet music, and old text...and materials that others might consider to be junk. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.
My inspiration is not linked to one specific place or item or experience; life is a great teacher and my days are full of dreaming up ideas. My creative process is deeply intertwined with both the natural world and the emotions I wish to evoke in others—two incredibly powerful sources of inspiration. Nature has such a rich palette of textures, colors, and forms.
My primary intention is to bring joy to others through colorful and whimsy.
