Born and raised in Litchfield County, in the tiny town of Warren, Connecticut. Much of my childhood was spent imagining and creating. During my middle and high school years, I began seriously pursuing my interest and developing my skills in art. In college, I studied Fine Arts and Education.
Currently residing in Western Massachusetts, I have been a full-time elementary school teacher for nineteen years. When I'm not teaching, I am developing new creative ideas and spending time with my family.
Working primarily with acrylic paint, pen, pencil, pages from dictionaries, sheet music, and old text...and materials that others might consider to be junk. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.
My inspiration is not linked to one specific place or item or experience; life is a great teacher and my days are full of dreaming up ideas. Many of my pieces are directly influenced by my time with nature. I love recreating plants and wildlife in my work. Bringing joy to others through colorful and whimsical art is inspiring as well.
